Sweeping Clinic with Olympian and World Champion Lisa Weagle - Saturday October 3rd, 2026: 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  (Clinic will be given in English)

"Sweep like a Pro" with Lisa Weagle,  Founder and Head Coach of Lisa Weagle Curling Academy.  This clinic will focus on developing essential sweeping techniques, including speed, power, and efficiency. The session will be interactive and will provide personalized feedback to ensure each participant's sweeping technique is optimized for better shot outcomes. She will cover directional sweeping as it applies to club level curlers.

Lisa Weagle is one of Canada’s top curling athletes, with a storied career that includes two Olympic Winter Games, three Scotties Tournament of Hearts titles, as well as gold, silver, and bronze medals from the World Women's Curling Championships. 

Lisa’s influence extends beyond the ice, taking on a prominent leadership role as Canada’s Chef de Mission for the Gangwon 2024 Youth Olympic Games. As an RBC Olympian, Lisa shares the power of Olympic dreams with youth and corporate audiences.  

She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with the next generation of curling athletes, which is why she founded the Lisa Weagle Curling Academy. A certified coach, Lisa works with athletes at all ages and levels from first-time curlers to Olympians. She is a Master Curling Professional and founding member of the Association of Curling Professionals. Lisa has consulted for Curling Canada’s NextGen and Wheelchair Curling programs.

Introduction to Curling for children 6 to 12 years of age

Schedule: Sunday, 9:00 to 10:00
Duration: 8 weeks
Cost: $50

 Curling 101 is an 8 week turn-key program which allows people who have never curled, but who want to try it, to be introduced to the sport. With a two-hour class once a week, and the help of high-quality instructors, participants will progressively learn basic curling concepts, techniques and strategies.

 Cost: $150 (taxes included) Payment on-line by credit card upon registration.

This course is offered in French.
