Curling des Collines (CdC) was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 2015, and in October 2018, it became the largest curling center in the Outaouais with four sheets. Today, CdC has over 500 active members.
Mission
Our mission is to develop and promote curling in the Outaouais and Ottawa regions. To carry out this mission, Curling des Collines offers curling enthusiasts, and those wishing to be, the possibility to curl at the recreational or competitive levels within a safe and organized framework. We offer our services to people of all ages and communities.
Vision
Being sensitive to our members to identify programs and services that best serve their needs. We are committed to make sure the curling experience is the most enjoyable and positive for all members.
In collaboration with our members, and respecting the roles of all those concerned, we are committed to maintain an adequate volunteer stream to ensure the club’s sustainability. We also primarily endeavour to retain and increase the number of members.
Who Are We?
Curling des Collines is a not-for-profit organization and one of 70 curling clubs in Quebec affiliated to Curling Québec. Curling des Collines is also a member of the Curling Outaouais regional association and the Ottawa Valley Curling Association. Our operational framework is mostly based on volunteers who help develop curling in the Outaouais’ vast region. With sustainable development in mind, at both the recreational and competitive levels, Curling des Collines programs cover the different sports activity contexts, including discovery, initiation, leisure and competition.
Objectives
Curling des Collines is constituted to meet the following objectives for purely social purposes and without pecuniary gain to its members:
- Promote and develop curling as a recreational and competitive sport.
- Promote and develop relationships with any association and/or organization eager to promote and develop curling.
- Promote and defend the interests of its members and provide members with all types of services.
- Organize different curling leagues and activities for all its members.
- Establish, organize and run local, regional and provincial tournaments.
- Maintain Curling Québec affiliation and business relationships with various public bodies.
